Despite your gentle and nostalgic voice that fill my eyes with tears, it hurts to breath. I can’t even face him let alone talking back.

"…this is the first time i haven’t felt anything. He’s calm too. Seeing him together with Narumi made me realize how it really is. My last hopes, misunderstandings, were all blown away. Maybe, just maybe, my heart’s accepted the reality with Kou. I finally convinced myself that it’s an unrequited love. Well… nearly. But at least now i know it won’t hurt forever."

I’m not lying either when I feel happy for her, but I want to keep her to myself.

EVERYTHING IS SO CUTE

OMFG MY HEART

"How do you get over a broken heart?"

on the subject of haru’s eyes

colonelbug:

haru is not a very expressive character. he’s reserved, introverted, and never says much. though haru finds it hard to express himself with any kind of form such as body language, words or even just any other facial expression other than impassive, exasperated and/or annoyed, his eyes have always expressed so much and it is used in the narrative to give the viewer an idea how he is truly feeling in any particular moment, without the need for inner monologue.

when we see little 12 year old haru, he has light in his eyes. because he has meaning and purpose. he doesn’t need a reason to swim, he swims to feel the water and right now, that’s all he needs.

but when we first seem him at 17, all grown up, his eyes are dull

image

he’s lost his purpose, his reason for swimming. his reason for existing. because it was taken from him.
